For nearly 30 years, we've been in the room — helping people get ready for the presentation that mattered most. ScriptAssist is everything we wished we could have handed them.
We started SlideSource in 1996 because high-stakes presentations are never really about the slides. They're about the person standing in front of them — and whether, in the moment, they can deliver.
After helping prepare thousands of high-stakes presentations over nearly three decades — including advisory committee meetings, investor presentations, scientific congresses, and executive communications, largely for pharma and biotech teams — we kept seeing the same thing. Smart, accomplished people, with decks they'd poured weeks into, would get on camera and look down. They'd read. Their eyes would drift to a second screen, a printed page, a sticky note just off-frame. The audience could feel it. All that preparation, undercut in the first thirty seconds, because looking confident and reading your script seemed like a choice you had to make.
And behind every one of those presentations was a second quiet ordeal: the script itself. Notes living in PowerPoint. Edits living in Word. Reviewers — legal, medical, compliance, an exec — marking up a copy that immediately fell out of sync with the deck. Hours lost to copy-paste and a folder full of files named "FINAL_v7_REALLYfinal." It was exhausting, and it had nothing to do with the message.
We thought the tools should have solved this by now. The teleprompters we found made you choose — share a single window or a PDF instead of your real screen, or re-author your whole script in yet another app. None of them understood that the script and the slides are the same story, or that the script has to survive a review process to ever reach the stage.
So we built the one we wished our clients had. A teleprompter built directly into the PowerPoint presentation you already use. That sits right beside your camera and stays invisible to your audience, so you can hold their eyes and still have every word. And that plugs straight into how scripts actually get written and reviewed — out to Word, back again, only the changes that matter.
